The charts...There
is so much to say about music charts and how they are made. If anything, a
chart is just a piece of paper that has information about a specific song.
Most pieces are fairly simple in terms of their structure. You have a
verse, a chorus, another verse. etc. The chart is supposed to give the
performer all the information about how to perform a song and when to
perform it, and here is
where it starts to get messy. If the person who wrote the chart wants to
save space by writing many repeats, double codas, or skips sections by
just writing "Go back to A and then skip to F..." well... All
these 'shortcuts' makes playing 'Mary had a little Lamb' almost impossible
or just simply a nightmare.
Furthermore, bands are not always lucky enough to have a regular set of
musicians and most often have to hire substitutes. For a substitute
musician that has
never played 'Mary had a little lamb' reading and performing the
music correctly is already a hard task, adding a "puzzle" creates chaotic situations. That's where this company's
name came from: Bettrmusik, and not because our music is better, but you can
perform the music better by having better and cleaner charts. Charts
that are easy to read make musicians play the music better, even just by
mental association. The hard to read charts are frustrating to play and
end up in early retirement. Even rehearsals become much more productive
and 'positive' if the charts are easy to read. They become more productive
because the band is able to concentrate more on how the sound is being
produced as opposed to when it should be produced. LRC (Linear Reading Charts) is how we
conceptualize our music charts. Jumping back and forth leads,
in most situations, to a failure in the execution of the music as written. At Bettrmusik we assure quality before quantity
and that's why we offer you a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If there is something wrong
(doubt it..) with the music we sent you we will fix it for free. Again, our charts are LRC (Linear
Reading Charts) which means that your musicians
won't be confused by hard to read road maps which turns your chart into a labyrinth as
opposed to a straight road. The chart you will receive will be inside a cover envelope to protect it and also to easily store it.
We use 3 different types of paper.
The first one is a 32lb. White (95 Brightness, Smooth finish) and the
other two are 67lb. Vellum Bristol (Cardstock) in Ivory and White colors.
All being Wausau Papers. Well, enough said. Experience Bettrmusik today.
